DONATE TO PLEASANTVILLE PRIDE
We're raising funds to make this year’s event the best it can be—and every contribution, no matter the size, helps bring us closer to a vibrant, inclusive celebration for all. Your support matters—be part of the Pride movement and help make a difference!
In connection with our efforts to raise funds for the upcoming Pleasantville Pride event, we wish to clarify the management and allocation of funds. Due to time constraints and the need for expedient action, we have opted not to establish a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization before the event. As such, the funds raised for this purpose will be held in a dedicated account within the Emanuel Lutheran Church's established nonprofit fund.
We affirm that none of the funds raised will be used for the church's purposes. All contributions will be solely allocated to support the organization, execution, and promotion of the Pride event, with the intent of providing the best possible experience for attendees.
In the event that any funds remain after the conclusion of the event, those funds will be either put toward next year’s event or donated to an LGBTQ+ charity, depending on the needs and priorities of the team at that time. None of the leftover funds will be retained by the church.
Should the event be a resounding success, the organizing team will explore the creation of a 501(c)3 nonprofit entity specifically dedicated to Pleasantville Pride, ensuring the continued support and development of the event for years to come.
All recordable donations will receive a thank you letter along with a tax exemption receipt. Please be sure to include your address information. The letter will be sent within four weeks after the event. If you do not receive it, please reach out to us at pridepleasantville@gmail.com.
